Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Media Assist is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains exactly what that means, and the few places data does leave your phone.
1. Your photos and videos — never uploaded
All analysis of your photo library — measuring file sizes, sorting, finding duplicates — happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks. The content of your photos and videos is never uploaded to us or to any third party, under any circumstance.
2. Anonymous product analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand which features people use (for example, how often Swipe Clean or Duplicate Finder are opened) so we can improve the app. This data is anonymous, aggregated, and never linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
3. Purchase records
If you buy Premium, Apple processes the payment — we never see your card details. A record of your purchase status is stored in our database, linked only to a random, anonymous identifier generated on your device (not your Apple ID or identity), so we can help you if you contact support about a missing purchase. Apple's own purchase records remain the actual source of truth for whether Premium is unlocked on your account.
4. Photo library permission
Media Assist requests photo library access solely to display, measure, organize, and — at your explicit request — delete items. Deletions always go through iOS's own system confirmation dialog and remain recoverable for 30 days in the Photos app's Recently Deleted album.
5. Advertising (free plan)
The free plan may show banner ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers for ad delivery, as described in Google's privacy policy. Premium removes ads entirely. Where required by law, you'll be asked for tracking consent before any personalized ads are shown.
6. No account, ever
Media Assist does not require sign-up, login, or an account of any kind. The anonymous identifier described above is generated silently on-device and is not personal information.
7. Your choices
You can change or revoke photo library permission anytime in iOS Settings → Media Assist. To request deletion of the anonymous purchase record described in Section 3, contact us below.
